Server Central Selling Dell Servers (February 9, 2005) - Managed Web hosting provider Server Central (servercentral.net) announced on Tuesday that it has made Dell PowerEdge servers immediately available in its data centers.
"The introduction of Dell servers into our product line reinforces our commitment to provide the best service in the industry, which we match with the highest quality equipment available," says Mark Luptak, vice president of sales. "The proven performance of our network combined with the reliability of Dell servers is perfect for resource-intensive applications such as streaming media and gaming servers." According to the company, customers will be allowed to configure their Dell offerings, selecting the operating system, memory and disk space allotments. The plans come with several update and customization options, including disk mirroring and storage configurations. Each plan, the company says, also includes hardware maintenance, 24-hour technical support, and initial installation and configuration.
Server Central Adds to Offerings (June 28, 2004) - In an effort to provide flexible technology solutions, Server Central (servercentral.net), a Chicago-based provider of national managed services announced the release of eight new dedicated server packages on Monday. The packages are bundled with ample memory, bandwidth, and hard drive options, while competitively priced to suit and business need.

"They will allow our customers to receive reliable services while maintaining a healthy ROI." The dedicated server offers include up to 3.0 GHz processors and memory options that start at 512 MB. Server Central also includes its high quality bandwidth services in the offering, with allocations ranging from 600 GB to 1400 GB per server. Users can also select RAID and SCSI options with designated server packages.
Server Central Acquires Hosting Assets (May 7, 2004) - Web hosting, colocation and bandwidth provider Server Central (servercentral.net) announced on Friday that it has acquired the Web hosting and colocation customers and data center assets from The Systems House, a provider of technology solutions for the automotive and office products industry.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The hosting customers acquired by Server Central in the deal will have access to Server Central's IP connectivity, managed services and Microsoft Certified Partner offerings. "These new customers will continue to receive superior value and support from Server Central," says Mark Luptak, vice president of sales and marketing for Server Central. "We're dedicated to providing personalized hosting services and we look forward to working closely with them to ensure their continued successes." Chicago-based Server Central recently upgraded its Web hosting packages.
